This summer has been super busy! I’m working on a top secret project that I hope to share in a few weeks. But here’s a little stash of fabrics that I picked up several weeks ago at my beloved Stone Mountain & Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley, California. They are going to become a set of six napkins, double-sided. The plaid will be the main fabric, and two napkins each with the different contrast fabrics. I’m super excited! I haven’t made myself new napkins in a long time. I’ve been using thrift store ones, with a special handsewn set I got in a swap for fancy occasions.
I’m still canning, and have plans this week for salsa and nectarine jam. My mother-in-law just won blue ribbons at her county fair this past weekend for her canned and baked goods – it’s very inspiring! Next year, I have to enter my county fair. I have a guest post at Tiny Choices about canning basics. If you are at all interested in canning, take a peek, maybe you’ll be inspired!
