I am making another attempt at growing tomatoes in containers. I transplanted them nearly two weeks ago. Three plants – a Roma, Patio Hybrid, and Husky Red Cherry from the Catapla Farm in New Jersey. I think I could stand to add more dirt. I also plan to hook up some self watering containers to each of them. The photos show the plants at Week 1 on the left and the day of transplant on the right. Things were cruising along. The landscapers in my community were leaving them alone. Today I came home to little yellow flags everywhere reading “Pesticide treated area.” Ugh!! I hope my plants are okay and they weren’t inadvertently sprayed with chemicals. Some organic garden. I am also growing a healthy pot of basil, which I love and use constantly. I still have plans to add some more pots or windowboxes with mint and parsley. We’ll see how this goes!
