This sweater has been lingering in my WIP pile for ages. It’s supposed to be a crochet car sweater. I just can’t bring myself to keep working on it. The wool is a beautiful superwash I bought at Rhinebeck two years ago. I thought using it in a crochet pattern would counteract superwash’s tendency to stretch. But the pattern really just isn’t me. I don’t like it and I’m not motivated to work on it at all. However, if I pull it out, I will be stuck with a bunch of short lengths of wool. I think my plan will be to try to use the remaining wool for something else, and if I have enough left, I can make the squares I’ve already finished into a baby blanket or something.
Any suggestions for a sweater that would work well with superwash? I really don’t like oversized, slouchy styles. The color is really beautiful in person and I can’t wait to wear it!
