Pattern: Just a Little Undershirt, Interweave Knits Fall 2009
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Cotton
Needles: Size 7
This fast project took me all of one snow day to accomplish using leftovers from a few favorite 2009 projects. I love how it came out. The stripes are so sweet! I used a Mission Falls cotton for a contrast trim. It went so quickly. I definitely recommend the pattern. I’m breaking my own rules here and posting a photo of an unblocked item, but I just moved and am knee deep in boxes and cleaning rags. Expect to see some long term UFOs on the chopping block soon. Either up to finish them or I need to let them out of my life. (Alpaca lace stockings, I’m looking at you!!) Moving as a crafter is a curious thing. I am rediscovering yarns I bought for a specific purpose where either I changed my mind on the item or the yarn. Projects I couldn’t quite figure out that were put on stitch holders until my knitting skills improved. And forget about the piles of sewing projects never quite completed because of a crooked seam or puckering line. I am hoping once I get my craft space set up (which will no longer be in my bedroom, YAY!!) that I will be able to dive back into my fabrics and finish a few articles of clothing in time for spring.
