I had hoped to get a nice photo of my husband modeling this vest, but with so many rainy days lately, it seems like it will never happen! You will all have to use your imaginations. The yarn is an aran weight merino from a cone. The same one I used for my Rogue sweater. The pattern is Dr. G’s Memory Vest, offered by Kirsten Kapur in exchange for a donation to a foundation near to her heart, the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
My vest came out slightly too wide – I plan to open up my side seams and armholes and take it in. Other than that, I absolutely love this pattern and finished object. It is smart, stylish, interesting – a perfect knit. My husband loves it. He asked me nearly every day when it would be ready. The back is identical to the front except for the V-neck.
It was the perfect project to debut my new labels! I’ve been wanting something to put into my knits to make them look more finished, and these are perfect. They are woven, purple writing on a pale yellow background.
I’ve got lots of other knitting to hopefully photograph this weekend if I get some nice weather! I am feeling spring fever, and I need to finish up my winter projects to make room for some warmer weather wearables.
