Happy Valentine’s Day!
Hope you all had a nice day, however you choose to celebrate (or not!). I cooked a breakfast for my parents and my husband. I sent them all invitations, with sewn fabric hearts for decoration. I printed up menus with the food items. We had strawberry-kiwi fruit salad, eggs a la Valentine (actually, eggs a la Feb 2009 Martha Stewart Living), hash browns, chocolate cherry scones (from the King Arthur Flour Whole Grains Cookbook), cafe au laits, and mimosas. I also scrambled up some eggs just in case this wasn’t enough food.
