First, the Prayer Shawl Companion giveaway- Congrats to Louisa! I emailed her to get her address and will be sending the book out. Thanks to everyone for playing. Someone asked in the comments if the book included information about the Jewish tradition of a tallit. It does – the project is a tallis for a girl’s Bat Mitzvah. I have another book to giveaway this week as well. I wanted to get it posted last week, but I want to photograph a project from the book with it and it’s taking me longer than I wanted. In the midst of Thanksgiving preparations, I am scrambling to get some projects done and be ready for lots of cooking this week.
My question today – what do you all think of this pattern? It’s Simplicity 2848. I love it, and I’m trying to figure out what I would sew it in, and where I would get the fabric. Most of the independent fabric shops online focus on cottons, and I see this in a lightweight wool. Is wool difficult to sew?
