I made chocolate cupcakes last week, accidentally making way too much chocolate buttercream. What to do but make chocolate whoopie pies this week to use it up? The problem is that I still need to finish up the heavy cream and buttermilk I bought for the sponge cake. So I’ll bake something else. And then I needed a new dozen eggs, so may as well throw something else in the oven too. It never ends.
Tonight I gave myself a break from baking and made jam instead. Limited edition New Jersey Peach Jam with Citron Honey. I think it will be a hit!
