I am so grateful for all of the nice comments on the finished Rogue, here, in the Knitting LJ community, and on Ravelry (where I am also paperdollygirl). I am about 90% through a Cobblestone for my husband and hope to post that in a few days. I wanted to take a few moments to highlight some fabulous crafty stuff I am super excited to work on.
The Tulip Stitchette from Wee Wonderfuls. I always love her work, but something about this design just spoke to me and said “We will help you end your embroidery curse and actually finish something!!” so I had to order them.
I’m also loving this Oliver and S tea party sundress pattern. I plan to make it for a special little girl who is about to become a big sister. A big sister needs a special dress, don’t you think?
I am way off into crafting for babies these days. I have none of my own, but several dear friends are expecting this summer, and it’s been really fun for me to pick out fabrics and patterns I think they might like. I realized I am totally overboard though -nearly 1/3 of my Ravelry queue is baby stuff! I would love to hear from any moms out there about what their favorite, most useful gifts were along the lines of fabric or knit items. What materials they like (cotton, wool, etc) and what they don’t.
If you are a pregnant friend of mine, I suggest you click away now and don’t look closely at the following picture! I am a bib making factory, and several of these sets are intended for friends. The pattern is from Amy Karol’s Bend the Rules Sewing. I still need to add snaps and finish sewing – these are very much works in progress.
