Thanks so much for all of the nice comments on my new Rogue! I really appreciate it. I still can’t believe it’s finally done. Now that this project is finally in the FO pile, I have a couple new things I’ll be working on. The two hanks of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn are for a secret project to be revealed in the next couple of weeks. I love those colors together! I also bought from Stone Mountain and Daughter Fabrics five yards of a fabric in the Katie Jump Rope collection by Denyse Schmidt. This cotton is destined to become a full skirt – great for spring, summer, and early fall. I am using the Butterick’s pattern, as inspired by Belle Epoque. I should give my husband credit here for the fabric choice. He prevented me from buying something that would look like a tablecloth or from Little House on the Prairie – and not in a good way. I realized that I’m on an orange kick big time. Perhaps I’m being influenced by the colorful Bits and Bobbins. I already have two orange skirts (miniskirts!) and in the past few months the last two shirts I’ve bought have both been orange. I’m trying to decide if the orange thread I already have will be a good enough match, or if I should buy something slightly closer to the background color.
