As promised, I’ve uploaded some photos from the taping I went to of the Martha Stewart show. I went with Kayte of Love, Forever. I had such a wonderful time. The show is still in the archives online, and if you look closely, you can see me for half a second at the end. In the “Goodbye” segment, we are visible at around the 39th second and the final second. Hope this link works, and if not, you can go to the site and select the show from Friday, January 11, 2008. The show was celebrating Everyday Food, and Martha gave a copy of the new Everyday Food cookbook to everyone in the audience. We sampled food, we cheered, we watched enthralled by Martha. It was so much fun. It was cheesy and exciting. I have never been to a taping before of a show. Martha did a q+a session, and she was right on. She knew where the questions where going before the audience finished speaking. She is sharp as a tack and doesn’t miss a beat.
I tried making the quinoa muffins from this show, but had to tinker with the recipe due to a lack of ingredients and just hated the results. My husband has eaten 15 of the 18 muffins that I made – he just loves them – but for me, I’ll try them again with the right stuff.
I also made the curried carrot soup from the cookbook (recipe online at the MSL site). It was amazing!! I substituted veggie stock instead of chicken stock, and used 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp coriander instead of 1 tsp curry powder. I can’t wait to try more recipes from the book.
