We have been married just over a week. I have so many crafty things to share from the festivities. There were fabulous cupcakes, vintage and new cake stands, a custom-sewn handbag, vintage lace and rhinestones, vintage cufflinks, borrowed pearls, and gorgeous red and orange roses, with blue delphinium. Our mini honeymoon included a historic inn in Northern California
The wedding quilt from my mother-in-law was such a wonderful surprise. I am delighted to share that it was the first of several other crafty gifts. A gorgeous painting by my uncle, hand-thrown and glazed pottery by one of Christian’s friends, and this Celtic cross stitch that one of my aunts made. It’s quite large, and I am just thrilled. I have no gift for cross stitch, and to receive something like this is just so exciting.
I will have to break up my wedding posts in obsessive detail once I get all the photos. One the crafty front, I am just finishing the knitting on my Surplice Bodice Camisole and will be starting a very special project immediately afterwards. Next up will be a trip to Art Fibers for my first time with their custom sweater software. I would love to design a sweater for my husband for our first Christmas together, and given my rate of project completion, I had better get started on it now!
