One of my big things is using cloth napkins, cloth grocery bags, and just reducing the amount of disposable products I use. I have been known to take my laptop lunch to restaurants to reduce the need for disposable take away containers. I bring my own silverware to school and work so I don’t need to use disposables. However, there are times when I’m caught without silverware. I saw these bamboo sporks being used by Karina of the fabulous new eco-friendly blog, Tiny Choices. I had to order some! While they won’t be long enough for me to stir my tea (hmm…. must come up with a solution for that), I am looking forward to using them. They come in a set of 8, so I can leave one in my backpack, one in my purse, a couple in my partner’s car, and some in my camp kit. Thanks for the recommendation!
I also am re-committing to a few things that I’m inconsistent about. Like bringing my own coffee cup when I go to a cafe, instead of using a disposable. Remembering to bring my laptop lunch for leftovers at meals. And not caring if people actually make faces at me for using it.
