Spring break is over as of tonight, but I had a great week. Lots of ice cream was consumed. No, I didn’t eat all of these sundaes by myself, but it was fabulous. I made two or three trips to the Fenton’s Creamery in Oakland. My favorite sundae was the bottom right one. Mocha Royale, Heath Bar on the bottom, drenched in their amazing caramel. My usual at Fenton’s is the Coffee Cookie Dream with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge. This week, I was trying to branch out.
I went to so many restaurants. And contrary to what this photo might suggest, I am looking to cut down on my sugar intake. Mostly in things like chai and coffee. I’d like to save my sugar for baking and ice cream. After a wonderful lunch at Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley, I’m interested in trying to sweeten my beverages with agave nector instead of sugar.
