Happy May Giveaway Day! I am so happy to participate in today’s giveaway day, organized by the wonderful, creative folks at Sew, Mama, Sew. I really love reading everyone else’s blogs and seeing what everyone is working on.
For today’s giveaway, I would like to send off five skeins of Classic Elite Four Seasons (70% cotton, 30% wool). I overbought this yarn for a project and figured since I have so much remaining that maybe someone else would like it. To enter (sorry international folks, U.S. only), please leave a comment before May 25 and make sure you submit your e-mail address so I can contact you. If you’d like to share something about yourself, perhaps what summer knitting projects you have planned. Thanks for stopping by!
Oooh with a baby girl due in 2 months and a few people 🙂 trying for one of their own… so many ideas. Or that could actually make a camisole/summer vest thing for me!
beautiful yarn! would love to win it
Oh, I would love to try this yarn out! So pretty! Maybe a shrug for my daughter would be in order! Thanks!
I honestly have no clue how to knit! But my mother-in-law does and loves it. I would love to be able to give her these.

ooh, this looks like lovely yarn! I’ve been knitting lots of shawlettes lately, but a summer camisole or skirt is next on my list!
I am more of a crocheter than a knitter but I would love to knit some baby hats before fall.
G’Day! I’m here for the Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day! Please visit me, too:

what a beautiful colour. I would love to win
Summer knitting = knitting for my niece (who will be here in the end of June)!!! So excited!!
My summer knitting consists of socks, so I can get up to speed for Sock Summit (I can’t believe I get to go!). But also I have a top for me on the needles and I’m trying to get a jump on the sweaters my little ones will need in the fall (they keep growing out of the ones I’ve made, somehow…:) Thanks for the giveaway.

I started knitting a year ago and cannot stop!
I have been focusing on making lots of dishcloths, as the moment, as my supply is getting quite used, and many friends have asked for some for themselves! 🙂 I also have been working on a knitted patchwork afghan for my sister and her husband….so that needs work as well! 🙂
I don’t have any specific summer knitting projects planned, but cotton/wool yarn like this is so great for kids’ and babies’ stuff – it means you don’t have to be as precise with sizes, because it gives you a greater range of seasons for it to fit.
Crocheter here, who is learning how to knit. I would probably use this yarn in my crazy quilt work, though.
Thanks for doing this!
I think I’d like to make a car coat for my granddaughter with this…I saw a pattern on Ravelry that was just too cute! I love wool blends!
nice color-i like making hats 😉
What a fabulous fiber combination! Bet it feels wonderful to knit with. I would really enjoy working with it.
I’ve been thinking about making some coffee cozies this summer… not very summer-y I know, but it’s what I think I’ll do
Wow, great summer yarn! I’d make a skirt for myself.
YARN! I don’t knit, but I crochet. Good times. You know the link from the SMS site didn’t work? I had to click elsewhere. Just so you know.
Oh I love that color! I have a goal to teach myself and my daughter (7) to knit this summer. Or at least to get a good start on it. I have needles and we’ve been finger knitting, so that’s a start!
What a lovely color! I am thinking about a light summer shrug, but haven’t found a pattern that I particularly like, yet.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m trying to get a jump on XMAS super early.
What beautiful yarn! I would love to win; I think I could make something beautiful for my little girls out of it =)
I am working on the Featherweight Cardigan but need a quicker project to keep me going….maybe a small shawlette is in order.
Color looks pretty. I like making hats, socks and shawls…
I have a couple of new scarf/shawl designs that I am working on, and this would be perfect! Thank you so much for participating in Giveaway Day!
This summer I’m working on finishing the Celtic Bag I started ages ago, and whipping up some diaper covers for my little guy.
Great giveaway, thanks!
Oooh, pretty. I am a yarn addict
So lovely! I’m into wide lace shawls at the moment and could surely find the perfect pattern!
Beautiful yarn. I’ve been working on a few shawls lately and I hope to knit some socks this summer. Thanks for the giveaway.
Thanks for the giveaway- Yummy yarn!
Oh how I love yarn! 🙂 I’m currently working on the Zora cardigan from Knitty (I think it was an ’09 issue). Perfect layering piece for cooler summer evenings and on into the fall. After that I’m going to start early on some winter knitting. I have two boys a hubby and lots of Christmas gifts to get crackin’ on.

Wow! What a great color – I’m working on the Nora cardigan from Interweave- love it!
Thanks for the giveaway! I’d love to try this yarn. I am immersed in teacher-gift knitting/crocheting right now, but I’m hoping to get back to my linen tee shirt project before the really hot weather hits here next month!
Thanks for putting so much thought into your giveaway. I’m going to be making my hubby and son matching caps for christmas. This yarn would be perfect. I’m starting now, so I don’t feel the pressure of handmade gift deadline frenzy in November.

Thanks for giving away your extras! I love the color!
Such a pretty color! Thanks for the giveaway!
Love the color for something sweet for my girl. Perfect for my next project.
Whee! I just learned to knit this spring! I’m working on little sampler squares of different stitch patterns. Eventually I’ll make a (little) throw, I think! Meanwhile I’m enjoying knitting so much more than I ever thought I would (I’m a dyed-in-the-wool crocheter) 🙂
I crochet so I don’t have any knitting projects planned. This yearn would make a nice shawl.
what a wonderful prize! Thankya
I crochet hats and dish cloths. I think I’d have to do something worthwhile with that yarn. I had to fly shortly after 9/11, when they were confiscating everything that remotely resembled a weapon. I took my crocheting and while knitting needles were being taken. my blunt nose kid scissors and crochet hook were passed right through!

My oldest son is learning to knit. I suspect we’d find good use for this lovely yarn. *fingers crossed*
Thanks for the chance to win! (:
Beautiful! Thanks for the chance! thurbs8(at)yahoo(dot)com.
I am making hats, in Austin, in the near 100 degree heat. I can’t help myself!
I would have to branch out and make something bigger with all that lovely yarn!
Yes please. Wow this is lovely and so gracious. I’m excited to find yarn folks! I can’t wait to see what you come up wiht next.
What a generous giveaway. I love to knit!

Fantastic color, almost like a persimmon? I have a friend who just started chemo, I want to make a bunch of things to keep her comfortable, so I think I’d probably put it to good use towards a project for her!
Thanks for the chance.
Hello, Beautiful yarn, what a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win. Linda
I have a coat this exact color so I’d love to win this! I love to knit and crochet. Thank you for a great giveaway!
My sister-in-law is teaching me how to knit. I’ll get really excited because I’ve got it figured out while she’s there. Then go home and find that if I have to change anything I’m lost. It is coming though and I’m hopeful. This is over-reaching quite a bit, but I have a Fairy Tale Knits book and there are two projects in the book I’d like to make for my kids. That’s what got me interested. A robinhood sweater and a red ridinghood cape. I really, really like them. Thanks you for doing this.
I can never have too much yarn!
Sewing has taken over my life so I don’t plan to knit this summer, but this yarn would be used to make some matching hats (plus more?) for my girls in the winter!
Beautiful color! I would love to win this and make a hat and scarf or mittens for my daughter.
this yarn looks so pretty! i’m currently working on a summer sweater out of a cotton/wool blend. i love that it stays cool in my hands as i knit it. i also plan to knit some socks this summer, maybe start on some scarves for christmas, and make myself a sunshine yellow audrey in unst cardigan.
I don’t knit (yet) but I crochet and it looks like beautiful yarn. I really only like to work with natural materials so this would be a treat since it is cotton and wool!
What an awesome giveaway. This year I decided to knit more things for myself…besides another scarf. I have started a vest that I think will be perfect for fall. Perhaps I will do something with the beautiful yarn you are offering (fingers crossed) as well.
I have just the project for these! Thanks for the awesome giveaway.
That would make a great sweater for one of my girls! Thanks for the giveaway.
Yarnie goodness, sweet!
Wow…what a wonderful giveaway. I just taught myself to knit this past year. It’s been fun, but I’m ready to take on a more challenging project rather than just scarves and dish clothes. I’m thinking of trying some fingerless gloves so I’m ready to play the piano in the cooler weather. I’m not sure yet though. 🙂
Thanks for the chance!
thanks for the giveaway

What a great giveaway! I knit a little and my daughter crochets. Thanks for participating in SMS Giveaway Day.
I hope I win.
I am going to be knitting a lot of socks this summer. They are light and portable, good for lugging along to the beach or in the car, and for knitting while watching swimming lessons.
This yarn looks lovely, but I have to confess it would be going into a crochet project around here. Knitting just isn’t my thing.

I don’t knit myself, but would love to win this for a dear friend who hasn’t funds to buy yarn these days!
What wonderful yarn. My motto is “you can never have to much yarn, or projects”. Thanks for this giveaway!!!
I love the color of that yarn. I just bought myself a loom for my birthday and will probably be doing quite a bit of weaving this summer. Hope your summer is a great one!
The rest of the year I knit things I give away, so I’m thinking of knitting for myself this summer. This yarn is lovely. Thanks for the chance!
That yarn looks so pretty! I hope to make a summer cardigan, but we’ll see if that actually happens in time for summer or not. 😉
That is beautiful yarn. I don’t knit but I do crochet and make braids and dolls but if I got that yarn I would be totally tempted to pull out those knitting looms that I bought.
Thank you!!

Ooh, that color is lovely. This summer, I’m knitting tons of baby stuff, because it seems like EVERYONE I know is preggers right now. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m just learning to knit. My sister-in-law is teaching me. I wanted to learn because of a book: Fairytale Knits. I want to be able to make some of the things in the book for my kids. The yarn is beautiful.
Ohh, that yarn looks lovely! I’m knitting a pair of slippers for my friend. Then a sweater coat for my little girl since it will take me a while. Thanks for the chance to win!
Pretty yarn — thanks for the giveaway! I’m going to be knitting at least one baby sweater this summer and probably start a top for myself.
I would definitely love to win this giveaway because my mother who is 86 is an avid knitter and I would love to give her a surprise. Thanks.
Pretty color! Me and my friend knit hats for a local hospital nursery so winning yarn is always fun, thanks for the chance!

I would LOVE to win this. I’m expecting, so I can think of many uses for it! Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!
So pretty. I’m such a slow knitter though. I may give it to great grandma to make my girl a sweater in my stead. Thanks!

One of my summer knitting project is making me a neck warmer for this coming winter. Great giveaway. Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow, that is beautiful yarn!!
My goodness that yarn is GORGEOUS!!!!!
I would cuddle it so dearly and then make myself a pretty pretty hat and some matching arm warmers and hair pretties.
Thanks for hosting such a fantastic giveaway!!!!
Oooo… I”ve never tried to make a real article of clothing, but I think I’d try it if I had four skeins! Thanks!
I have some baby hats calling my name!
This fabric would be perfect for the shrug that I am planning on making for my upcoming wedding!
I meant to say skein. I don;’t know what’s wrong with me this morning. Don’t count this as two entries! 🙂
I don’t knit, I sew– But I swap sewing skills for knitting skills with a good friend, and I’d love to gift this to her!
I am trying to relearn knitting and crochet. Have done my share but long ago.
Such a generous giveaway! Thanks for the chance! I’ve been working on the same afghan (crochet, not knit :)) for a couple of years now…it’s a leisurely project. 🙂

My dear friend just taught me to crochet, so I’d love to have more yarn for new projects (don’t you love trying out a new skill!) I want to learn how to make flowers. I’ve been sewing my 2 girls dresses for years and knew I’d have to learn to use yarn someday…it’s just all so pretty.
