This is a soft, cushy, hand-dyed superwash wool. I have about 220 yards left, worsted weight. It’s just barely enough for a sweet newborn baby sweater. I’ve already made a shrug for myself with it. But I can’t bring myself to make a baby sweater with such fabulous yarn, knowing the sweater would only be used a handful of times. Should I make a cover for my French press coffee/tea maker? That way I could see it out nearly every day. No, I can’t do that. That kind of project is not meant for next to the skin soft wool. That’s for the scratchy stuff one doesn’t know what else to do with. Yet I don’t want any more scarves, mittens, or fingerless wrist warmers. I tried making socks out of it and they wore through in less than a month, so nothing that requires a lot of heavy wear would be suitable. And so this beautiful yarn sits, with no project in mind, warming or clothing no one.
Any ideas?

Oooo, that’s a tough one. How about a headband? The outside of an eyeglass case? A necklace….the yarn wrapping around a metal circle – like Susan’s necklaces – and a dangling green yarn bauble at the end? Tiny, pointy elf shoes that you can use for christmas decoration?
