In the midst of packing, I found time to sew up an actual adult garment! It’s a Wrap! by Indygo Junction. I was inspired by the Purl Bee version of the pattern and figured I’d try it for myself. I’m not entirely thrilled – I did something funky with the waistband that I’d like to correct for my next version. I bought the fabric from the fabulous selection of sale cottons at Stone Mountain and Daughter. I plan to make another one in green for my sister, but I will consult a friend tonight on how to fix the waistband issue. I couldn’t figure out how I was supposed to get all the raw edges enclosed without adding an extra odd line of top stitching across the whole darn thing. The curve on the side is where the panel curves up to tie. It’s actually pretty cute and flowy, but so help me if there is a strong breeze! The pattern calls for 3 yards and is not very economic in the cut-out, so I have a lot left over. Perhaps enough for a matching bag!
